Documenting Student Activism & Radicalism
at Franklin & Marshall College
at Franklin & Marshall College
by Arianna Felix, Trinity Nguyen, Lulu Solis-Perez,
and John Magallanes
Curated and crafted by F&M students, our zine has three main purposes:
1) To document the student movements that our students of color have produced at F&M in the fall of 2019. Our zine recognizes the labor that students of color are forced to endure and contribute while being at a predominantly white institution. 2) To create a space where students of color can express their culture and identity through art. 3) To educate not only about the history that is being made at F&M but to also to retell the history that happened at California state schools and student movements for Ethnic Studies while also demanding for respect and recognition from PWIs which occurred during the late 1960’s. We see the same form of history occurring now almost 50 years later. |
